Infrastructure Architect – Prog-It Oy

Location: Finland (Helsinki metropolitan area, Tampere, Turku, hybrid/remote work possible)

Prog-It Oy is a growing Finnish IT service company that is developing from traditional MSP operations towards a modern Managed Intelligence Provider model. We help our customers build secure, scalable and cost-effective IT environments in the cloud and on-premises.

We are now looking for an Infrastructure Architect to strengthen the design and development of our infrastructure and cloud solutions.

Job description

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for the design and development of the overall architecture of our customers' IT infrastructures. You will act as a technical expert and sparring partner for both customers and Prog-It's internal teams (operations, project, service desk).

The role combines hands-on work, design work and technical supervision.

Key responsibilities

· Designing infrastructure and cloud architectures for customer environments (public cloud, hybrid, on-prem)

· Assessment of existing environments, development proposals and modernisation plans

· Technical specifications and architecture descriptions for projects and ongoing services

· Sales support and pre-sales phase (solution models, technical aspect)

· Collaborate with operations and project teams in the implementation of solutions

· Compliance with best practices, standards and information security requirements (e.g. NIS2)

· Maintenance and development of documentation

We expect from you (not everything, of course, but some of these must be well mastered)

Several years of experience in the design and/or implementation of IT infrastructures and strong expertise in the following areas:

· Current enhancement technologies are familiar (e.g. Nutanix, Proxmox, VMWare)

· Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Identity)

· Hybrid environments

· Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Databases

· Networks (BGP routing, various WAN, WLAN and LAN solutions)

· Backup, continuity and recovery

· The ability to perceive the big picture and justify technical choices from a business perspective

· Good documentation and communication skills

· Fluent Finnish and English language skills

We consider it an advantage:

· Certificates (e.g. Microsoft, Azure, Security, Fortinet, Cisco Meraki)

· Experience with MSP environments and continuous services

· Understanding of information security and regulations

· Experience in automation (e.g. Microsoft Power Automate)
